So I guess some context is necessary here. I've known this guy since freshman year of HS and he's one of the closet friends I have. He's not doing too well (and it doesnt like to make it obvious) but he's struggling after dropping out of college and uses food delivery apps to make ends meet.

A few months ago he was hitting me up about starting an online business and asked if I was interested in joining and I wasn't but he was really adamant about the idea. He basically saw youtube videos of people starting dropshipping businesses and wanted to get in on it too He had a gameplan set up and showed me what he was gonna do and all asked me to borrow $3000 to help him with start up. I wanted to see him prosper and I'm not exactly struggling so I said sure why not. I've let him borrow money in the past (in smaller amounts) and he's always gotten it back to me without me having to even remind him.

Fast forward a month I dont ask him anything about it because I imagine this takes some time but i hit him up almost 2 months later asking for an update and he's just giving excuses. I'm understanding so I'm like okay cool don't sweat just let me know. I've hit him up a few times again over the past couple of weeks and its always the same thing. He's not exactly being transparent so it doesnt help either. And it's been just about 3 months. I don't like bothering niggas for money and annoying them but at the same time this is my money so idk

So now I'm here and just wanted to get other peoples thoughts on it other than fam and other friends. How should I go about this?

Never lend a nigga more than $25 after that it gets shaky

You wouldn’t be in this situation if you didn’t give him the money

There’s a limit OP but I guess ur MR MONEY BAGS

  • Mar 22, 2021

I'm already very hesitant to let me brother borrow that much money, let alone my friends

But like the other user suggested itt you can have him pay you back slowly in smaller amounts

  • Mar 22, 2021

Drop shipping is a tough business to get into now. Over saturated. He probably doesn’t have the money to give it back to you and he might be embarrassed about it and making up excuses that he needs more time IMO

  • Mar 22, 2021

just because you knew him since hs don’t mean s***. Day ones change no cap

Alexa, play don’t get no betta by timbaland
