I was tripping nuts at PNC 2018 and bro was going so crazy on guitar all I could do was laugh and in my head I pieced together that John Mayer was living out his comedy dreams through his guitar.
Fast forward to 2021 and he does the Kerwin Frost interview and he says "What I really wanna do is make melodies do these things that are so good that you laugh out loud. Laughing, musically when something is great is the ultimate compliment"

Unfortunately him being an a****** detoured the s*** out of his career and though he does perfectly fine touring he’ll never be as big as he should have been.
People are saying that since dead and co seems to be over he might make another effort at a solo comeback. I don’t see him ever having a big hit again though.

jeffpesosProbably Continuum. That’s considered to be his best work. The Search for Everything, Battle Studies, and his live album Where the Light Is are awesome too. I personally enjoy all of his albums, but for a new fan, those are probably the easiest to get into. Doesn’t diminish the quality tho
