This is where that orchestral sample in the beginning of Roddy Rich’s “The Box” comes from. About 45 minutes into this piece, fun fact

Lol he probably didn’t sample the piece itself, rather a loop or whatever that’s from this piece
I’m not sure the exact time stamp in Bernstein’s recording, but if you listen at 44:30 in this recording you’ll hear it

Watching Bernstein conduct is a masterclass in itself. If anyone reading this is interested in getting into classical music I highly recommend watching some of the episodes of Bernstein’s “Young People’s Concerts”. They’re an extremely easy to digest version of tons of classical music and concepts. Bernstein was an absolute genius when it came to teaching these kinds of things.

For real. No one has understood Mahler as well as Bernstein did. One of the best conductors to bless a stage

Have you listened to Berlioz’ Symphony Fantastique?

A long time ago, but I have to revisit it soon. I'm more into the Mahler, Wagner, Bruckner, Robert Schumann, Shostakovich and Rachmaninoff. The more dramatic and intense a classical composition, the better it is for me
