i didn’t like it but being honest, i didn’t care for heartless or take my breath too much until the albums.

idk this one do feel especially bad though, like i got no desire to even hear it again lol

People defend this dude's music so much it's insane. The Weeknd is probably in my top 3 fav artists ever but my whole issue with him is that over time his music has sounded cheaper & cheaper every album.

How can you get more and more money yet your music just sounds cheaper every drop? S*** makes no sense.

Drake has the same issue

People don’t understand some parts of trilogy and kiss land he hinted towards this pop sound. He always wanted to make these albums. Honestly don’t think he does it for streaming numbers. Hip hop gets more numbers anyways

There's no way this s*** isn't for numbers, there's nothing artistically memorable about any of these pop songs compared to his early stuff

It’s one song all other 9 songs from the album previewed sounded everything except mainstream

Drake hasn’t dropped something as good as the weeknd his most recent work for like 8 years now..

if you said AH I'd probably agree but Drake has definitely dropped projects better than Dawn FM since the end of 2016

not a huge weeknd fan but his last two albums are easily the most interesting and consistently good albums he's made. ppl overrate the f*** out of his largely boring debut trilogy of tapes cos they were prob partying more when they dropped.

it's nothing to do w/ partying for me

it's more that he pioneered that sound & no one else has ever made music that sounds anything like it.

He ditched that sound to go make generic pop songs like Dancing in the Flames

Blinding Lights isn't generic at least, but this new one is just forgettable

Another song that sounds just like his other songs. Keep.

Hopefully this is just the label required radio hit and we’re in for more like when kpop was the lead single for utopia
