Damn “real bad Drake impersonation” is exactly what I wrote for this song the day the album dropped. So you ain’t alone op
Love hate
Ironically this damage control faux-kumbaya post confirms the suspected previous nefarious intent more than the actual previous nefarious intent
Anyways in 2023 we fw both Drake and Kendrick
Please stop liking this post and let me go to sleep
love this song

This review worse than the album

I don’t stand by all of it six years later but I’d say it’s aged better than the 10/10 masterpiece reviews so many people were giving it on release

Do you post reviews somewhere or something for people to check out? Or do you just keep notebooks of vague, 4-6 word descriptions of songs like a psychopath with zero taste.
None of that matters though. How on Earth is Love anywhere close to being one of Kendrick's worst songs?

At the time I worked for a small agency where almost everyone was in the 20s. We were all sharing what we thought about the album that Friday on the Slack music channel. I just wrote down a quick breakdown to score it.
Most of the people I worked with were software developers…so redditors. So even though they were swept up in the hype it was crazy how quick the switched up when that Fantano review dropped where he also gave it a 7/10
MM&TBS only had N95
the rest of the album are headphone songs
count me out, silent hill and savior say otherwise
I don't hear the similarity at all but I enjoy the track and feel it's underrated
It’s similar to drake’s “Fake Love” flow
tbh Kendrick would prob get washed in a beef with just about anyone, let alone Drake

let's talk abt it fr
Drake songs didn’t start sounding like that until the pandemic…a whole three years after Damn. You would’ve been better off saying Element is intended to be a radio version of 0 to 100 or something
Fake Love was right before this
Why couldn't the radio bait on MM&TBS be good radio bait like Damn was
There was honestly zero radio bait on MMATBS bruh
GOD is not a Drake song, I think you meant to say YAH YAH
First time I heard that I was like “this sounds like a Drake flow”
Ended up being one of the worst tracks on DAMN
... is this just because Drake has a song called God's Plan? I don't get it
It’s the flow/singing style which is very similar to what drake would do at the time, Fake Love is one example but it’s a lot of his singing
