Love the film. Big fan of the Coen’s. But does anyone feel like Josh Brolin was heavily under used? Bare in mind I haven’t read the book but the whole film was a big set up to track down Chaney and they finally do near the end of the film. They have the little run in where he kidnaps her and then Pepper tells him not to hurt her. Idk I always felt like the suspense and pay off could of been better. Yes Haliees character got her revenge but nothing about Josh Brolins scenes seemed “urgent” and kind of came and went then after we moved on to her being bit by the snake and that became the rest of the story.

But then again Coen bros do like doing anticlimactic endings like No country

Bro that’s how Coen movies play out, they make them realistic. If you want some over the top s*** watch a Tarantino or Scorsese movie

Also its funny you say “realistic” because if you ran into the teenager of the dad you just killed you wouldn’t be acting as nonchalant as he was. I love the film just think Josh Brolin was under used and his scenes with Haliee actually DIDNT seem realistic at all.
