Been a fan since she started in (unbeknownst to me, thought she had been going a while). Now that she's trying to come off a more a pop/rap act, she's kinda alienating her core fanbase.
I listen to her for mellow beats, a smooth voice, and yeah the occassional rap sing-song thing, but now she's going all in on the rapping and ever since that's been the main makeup of her songs.
I didn't come for that. More power to her but I will just listen to her old stuff if she's going down this path. I hate artists that try to change their entire scheme for popularity -- evolve yes, but this just seems like a complete rebrand for maximum exposure.
I came for the music, not the antics or sexual stuff.
thanks for the pasta
u just mad she didn't show her b****
Been way before this. I perused the last album before making this post and it's exactly what I said, mostly rap and little singing/r&B vibes. Total opposite of her other stuff. Used to be like 75/25 maybe, if even.
lifelong
I been onto Doja for awhile and I kinda get what you mean op but I feel like it was obvious by her "quirky" online persona that attention was always her goal.
Nothing inherently wrong with it but disappointing to see.

I never followed her on social media or saw much of her so I wasn't aware. I just come for the music. I don't check for artists personal lives much.
She always rapped a lot the music just wasn’t as poppy.
Yeah you could still vibe to it. That is a different lane from what she's doing now.

100% that’s why I kinda fell back from her music too I really don’t feel anything listening to the new stuff
Nobody cares that you listen to her for mellow beats. Go throw on a lofi video for that s***.
We #1 in the country right now
