    i dont think you can really compare the eras of the charts like that. very different

    You can compare amount of #1's / top 10s for the most part.

    This record is about total songs that just charted top 100 period lol. Most people wouldn't even consider songs that charted at positions like #64 and #87 as 'hits'.

    #1 hits:
    Paul - 9
    Prince - 5
    Lil Baby - 0

    Top 10 hits:
    Paul - 23
    Prince - 19
    Lil Baby - 2

    Why? I think it’s a great thing. Music is more accessible and black artists are getting more exposure and dominating the charts. Imagine in 2012 if I told you a kid from Compton named Roddy would block Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez from number 1 with a rap song. You’d call me insane.
