FredVanYeetNFT have a purpose in society and can be a pathway for artists to have new revenue streams
However what these artists do is get a big bag from the NFT projects, shill it to their fans so the NFT pumps, then they all sell it and the fans are left with useless jpegs.
Maybe some of you will make a little money but most will. Just buy btc or eth if you really want to get into it not garbage NFT and alt coins
you're forgetting that artists need a significant patronage to even enter nft universe. The whole game is pay-to-play how is that significantly different from any other bullshit we have to go through

There's no doubt you need a dedicated fan base so no arguments there, the main problem is still all of these projects getting influences to shill this stuff for quick pump and dumps to their fans
Every story is the same. "hey guys thinking about getting into crypto what's good?" then a few days later "hey I found this cool NFT I think it's going to the moon" and then an instant sell off by the makers and influencer
