The explanation I believe the most is Kanye being Kanye, went about sending the message incorrectly, and it never reached Baby or his team. Then he incorrectly took that as them ignoring him.

Usually when you want something like a feature, you tell your team to get with that persons team to set it up. With Lil Baby saying “no disrespect Ye nobody told me” that clearly points to the fact that Ye told his team he wanted a feature and the team for whatever reason didn’t speak to Lil Baby about it
