It's not overreacting at this point, is it. Drake had all of 2019 and 2020 to work on the album. Now we're halfway through 2021 and we still don't even have a f***ing snippet for the album. The album was supposed to drop last summer. It got delayed, cool, we all expected that. Naturally you would expect it to drop at the end of the year, but it still never came. And now he's delaying it because of f***ing leg injuries. And that further delay probably gave him the idea to keep working on the album until it's "perfect" like an OCD freak. I can't wait another single month.

Fans barely leaked anything that sounded like it would go on an album except for Lotta 42, Not Around, and Intoxicated. I don't think that's a good excuse to delay the album by a year (DLDT dropped May)
Demo Lane Tapes isn't nearly good enough to hold fans over. And the EP and features don't really mean much. The feats just remind me that he could be dropping CLB but instead chooses to hop on extremely predictable collabs with rappers like Lil Baby or Young Thug.
And the release frequency of other artists shouldn't be a bar for how I feel about Drake's. That's like saying, "there's worse people doing better than you, stop crying!". Drake already set the bar by dropping an album every year since 2015. It's his duty to continue that trend. If he dropped a project equivalent to More Life in quality and longevity in 2020 then I'd be satisfied. But we're supposed to listen to a project full of leaks and songs he probably had no intention to ever release?
@thankmelater I'd much rather prefer him to say that he's not dropping than hold fans in perpetual suspense of new music releasing

So you're telling me that Drake is throwing out release dates in hope that covid will die down. In other words, he's playing with fans emotions by blindly throwing darts at a board hoping everything works out right.
And exactly, no one knows when the f*** the pandemic will end. For all we know it could end in 5 years, so what the f*** is drake doing? On some real s***, you don't gotta agree, maybe you can wait, but anyone that's angry at Drake for still not releasing CLB is justified.
