Before man there was dinosaurs. For millions of years. Along comes an animal with slightly more wires firing off and that animal gets smarter and makes faith and makes religion then passes it to others. But at the end of the day it's just an animal that made life way more complicated than it ever needed to be. Imo.

The earth has existed for millions of years, we are a blip in it's existence. And earth is a blip in the existence of the universe. There may very well be more to life itself out there, but the fact is that the concept of religion and faith was made by man for man. Think about how many religions were stomped out of history. Any of them could've been the real truth, but all you know is what made it.
