I'll give my 2 cents on the situation.

His music was roughly the same quality throughout his career, but it was pretty much always the same sound and people were bound to get tired of it, regardless of how they felt about him as a person.

IN ADDITION TO THAT, he snitched.

IN ADDITION TO THAT, he started s*** with a lot of other rappers.

IN ADDITION TO THAT, he was involved in a bunch of other scandals.

Not really once he snitched there was nothing that he could drop that could change that people no longer were gonna take him serious lol

Not to mention it’s not like he was making groundbreaking music before that. What he dropped before and after ratting was pretty much the same quality. Snitching hurt him musically in the sense of no one good would work with him anymore, and he had become reliant on features to make hits at that point (unlike his first few hits, and even Dummy Boy had Tati). There was a pretty noticeable drop off in quality from Dummy Boy to his post prison album. I'm sure people getting tired of him personally played into it as well
