On his album yes he does rap lol literally on track 2.
Yall niggas itt are full of s*** cause i bet none of this energy was given when White Iverson came out :word:

"Tell a rap nigga, "I don't see ya", ha
I'm a pop nigga like Bieber, ha"

Correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't he made similar statements (might have been in an interview or a song idk) about being a pop artist? I feel like, even though he does hip hop tracks, he keeps reiterating that he is a pop artist.

I actually f*** with what he did on Montero, I caught the Eminem references, Day Trip and him continue to be a deadly combo and a lot of dudes haven't been able to make pop versions of some of Travis songs. He did. But going by what he's said, and bits of Montero, he's definitely a pop artist.

So it kinda makes sense that hip hop doesn't take him seriously. Now is homophobia a part of that? Absolutely. Could it also be because he's positioned himself to be less of a hip hop artist and more of a pop star? Yes. Both things can be true.

do we gotta explain how the 2 mysterious niggas are different from the man on stage kissing men

But it would be just as obnoxious for a straight rapper to always be shirtless and make out with women on stage solely for some type of moment or controversy lmao. If some nigga always had a white girl as an accessory on stage or in his videos to “piss people off” it would get just as old lol

Revolving your whole identity around sexuality is corny regardless.

The 2000s was nothing but shirtless rappers and singers (and really the male singers was ODing the most)

Hell we had the pretty ricky phase where every nigga used to do that grind the floor dance

    @user

Tyler pretty much gets by because he doesnt “act too gay” meanwhile LNX dares to be…flamboyant.

It is what it is but Tyler aint the “LGBTQIA champion in hip hop” that everyone itt try to paint it as. People used Wilshire as “proof” he was straight for weeks

I mean are cis people supposed to WANT to see naked men and gay devil aesthetics solely in the name of acceptance lmao?

Tyler has lines about having mansions full of white boys and got on Westside or Freddie s*** rapping about gay s***.

People not liking Nas X because he is super flamboyant and attention seeking doesn’t necessarily have to be about his homosexuality, dude just does a lot of corny stunts regardless

But why not he be both? Cause he is rapping on the album too.

And none of them niggas careers lasted for more than 5 years doing s*** like that. Nelly and 50 wasn’t flourishing with the shirtless s***symbol s*** once we get past like 04-05

Wayne is really the only one who was kinda in that lane and he had lyrics like p**** monster and never wore a shirt but wasn’t putting actual s***acts and imagery in his shows lol

Yall missed the entire point of that video cause all yall zero in on is the gay devil scenes :word: but not the whole him being judged and brought down there preceding it.

Like I said, Tyler does and can do these things because he came out 4-5 albums in and was established. MTO and World Star woulda been trashing him if he said on Goblin “I been kissing white boys since 2004”

No one's forcing anyone to watch his videos what do you mean "supposed to want"?

Also cis isn't the opposite of gay. LNX is cis...

idk about forced to watch but this whole thread is about hip hop not respecting/accepting him and what you quoted is the reason why lol

ehhh... i used to "like" him now i feel less respect for him

it really rubs me the wrong way when they demand respect like this

I mean... He wants people to not be homophobic towards him and threaten to beat his ass for simply being gay... Thats a bare minimum ask...

Tyler has always gotten clowned tho except for the people that are into him

Especially his pre flower boy days

The hip-hop community doesn't give a s*** that Tyler is gay. From other artists to fans

the point is female popstars do the same things and don't get any hate from the media or male rappers but when a gay man does the same things then its a problem

Like I'm sure Lil Nas X doesn't get respected in hip-hop because he identifies as gay. But he is also acting like he wasn't disrespecting and trolling hip-hop and hip-hop culture frequently on Twitter for his fans. If he was straight he likely wouldn't be getting respected in hip-hop for that.

Another reason why he probably doesn't get respect in hip-hop is because he is recognized as a pop artist these days. Also...what raps do you have that are worthy of being respected? There's a lot of ways you can look at this without even having to acknowledge dude's sexuality. I feel like that's the laziest route to take with it honestly.

It’s kind of like the issue many had with Drake of not knowing who the real genuine him is . Except in this case it’s a man that jokes about everything is sarcastic and only actually himself in interviews / sob stories . Every interview or tweet recently I feel like he has played the “ why do they hate me “ card over and over and over again
