I think my biggest issue with the EA that we got is that Uzi really failed to live up to the outer space theme he promised and promoted prior to release. Songs like Sticky and even Of Course fall way more in line with that outer space vibe and would have been great fits for the project. I think the 2018 version of the album would have been great especially if Uzi followed through on the albums theme.
It’s extremely well known they restructured the album the last two weeks before release and apparently cut like upwards of 20 minutes of skits and storylines from the album and worked Kesha like a dog to fix it all. It’s crazy that with 2 and a half years of gap between projects that it was so much of a scramble but I guess it’s just pure Uzi, he does what he wants.
I hope Uzi doesn’t overthink the next one and just drops a project full of bangers. New snippets have been great, excited to see what’s next.
