All some of my favs from each project too. When he even made the comment about F1LTHY beats saying he couldn’t rap on em I was like “Damn this ain’t the same Uzi from before” bro woulda never said something like that.
Feel like he finds some unique flows and s*** over those beats too and it mixes it up from his more simple stuff. Happy he back working with some of the older producers but I’m not holding out any hope that he gonna pick more than one or two unique and textured beats for Pink Tape

You may not agree, but I was thinking about this the other day when DondasPlace broke that Travis-related news here on this site
Uzi could most definitely be Travis level, and it's frustrating as a fan not to see that potential capitalised upon
Uzi is like one level below Travis, he has the popularity, he has the style, he puts up the commercial numbers, he has a great aesthetic, and they basically rap about the exact same stuff - there isn't some significant disconnect in the subject matter of their lyricism - both of them place a greater emphasis upon vocal experimentation, melodic-ness and atmosphere
I would attribute Uzi stopping himself from becoming Travis-tier to his restrictive production, it just isn't experimental and detailed enough. Don't get me wrong, there have been moments of it...VTW & LIR2... But since then it has kind of stagnated whereas someone like Travis is always ensuring his the production is rich and cinematic at every release

Oh I agree 100%, I actually think his hype 2017 pre-Astro for Trav and right around LIR2 was actually greater than Trav and many were speculating that he was gonna be the next major rap figure (like a Wayne/Drake) with multiple hits through 2016 and obviously XO in 2017.
He really do have it all, die hard ass fans, great aesthetic, plugged into the fanbase but move a little chaotic keeping things very interesting all around and previewing great music between releases to keep the hype up constantly.
I really think his releases post 2017 have been the issue. People really wanted New Patek but it flopped relatively, Sanguine Paradise, Thats A Rack, That Way, Futsal Shuffle all were divisive on release and many people kinda started to question if Uzi had the longevity and ability to give us another classic when they felt like it didnt hold up to his other stuff. Worst part is two of his best singles from that period (Free Uzi and Rich Forever) never got official releases and that still blows my mind as they are Uzi going hard as s*** and really switching up from his more melodic gameplan.
Even when Uzi did release some of the grails for the fanbase they fell off the charts so fast. I dont think EA was the project he needed to drop after the chaos that was his social media and his 2+ year window of little to no releases post-LIR2 and I think a decent amount comes down to the production / stagnation rap wise. Even that Fture joint (which I really shoulda been so hype for having two of my fav artists work together) fell right off the damn map because you could tell they just cranked it out quickly instead of making it stand up as a solid project on its own.
I really hope there is a big resurgence with Pink Tape but seems like public interest and sentiment seems to be that he is beyond his time at the top. I also think Trav is a way better marketer of himself too. His connections (outside his music being more complete concept and sound wise) is also a major reason for his success. Being so tied in with the Kardashians and these major collabs with certain brands have propelled him even farther than his music would have ever got him tbh.
