Ending the year with almost 160 leaks (alongside a studio album), Pink Tape aside for a moment, 2023 has undoubtedly been one of the best and most gratifying years to be an Uzi fan

I finally can press play on snippets I first heard when I was 17 (now almost 25, man time flies).

Certainly a bittersweet feeling though, there's a lot of content across those 160 leaks that really should have seen a proper, official release.

As is often the case, it seems Uzi lets themselves down with their song selection, or falls victim to premature leaks that disturb the true vision of what the album should have been. The Eternal Atake V1 leak is so reminiscent of what happened to Carter III with Wayne it's crazy.

Just a shame that there are countless moments of magic the mainstream will never get to hear because it ultimately came out as a leak rather than on a proper body of work.

It's difficult to narrow down my favourite leaks down to just FIVE, but for me, my top five as the year ends are:

Risk it All (2017, prod. Bugz) - Still my favourite Uzi leak from this year, which is a testament to how good this s*** really is
Might crack my top 10 Uzi ever honestly, beautiful track, will forever wonder if they was saving this for a project because how could you let something as magical as this just collect dust on a hard-drive

I Get It (2017, prod. Cannon) - Insane grail that lived up to the hype, can't believe we have it

Phony (2019, prod. Forza) - Such a unique song that really sounds nothing like anything else in Uzi's discog, the alien voice and ethereal, foggy beat are goated

I'm Livin (2018, prod. Swavey Beats) - Wavy beat, great hook, amazing verses, just a perfect Uzi song

Blue Tips (2018, prod. Forza) - Nails that spacey Eternal Atake sound Uzi had going on in 2018, catchy-hook, spacey/alien beat and their flow is top-tier
