You can say he used different vocal inflections or beats but he really didn’t reinvent himself on anything here. Obviously the songs were new and might have slight variations but the rock songs were the only things which brought something completely new to the table which were poorly received and I think there was like 3 of them

It’s literally standard to come up with new vocal inflections and hop on new beats as a rapper. Like you literally have to or you get made fun of like da baby. The rock songs were the only thing that was substantial enough to call a major shift for him and they weren’t received well. I listened to it several times when it came out and the only things that stood out as out of the ordinary were the rock/metal songs (3 or 4 songs)

what the living f*** is your standard for switching it up if doing entire subgenre switches, rapping in a completely alien way for multiple songs, opening up in ways never seen before, using beats someone wouldnt imagine him on, doesnt count as him switching it up?
all those songs i pointed out are completely off anything hes done before, u could not hear them on any other album

Crazy how a song from 2017 and two bonus tracks from like 2018 fit perfectly fine on this album that is such a massive departure from his previous stuff lol.
