i hate whenever artists do that "back to where it started" or "vibes of (insert year my most renowned project was out)" because it only shows they do realize they been dropping mid for the last few years my g.
And then the payoff is never worth it

tbh i hate the whole “2016 was the greatest year ever” crowd that Uzi tries to appeal to
that’s the crowd that clearly wasn’t listening to music until 2016 in the first place & tried to act like they really know what they’re talking about
& before a certain poster replies to this, i’m not talking about you, you really put in work to understand the genre & its history. you know who you are, i won’t call you out

his production style then had a much stronger low end with better baselines and deeper 808s, and he put a lot more emphasis on melodies and crooning instead of rapping rapping flows and stuff.
also the drum patterning was a lot higher in BPM than it is now and he regularly used a much deeper register

that’s all of rap though
like i say all the time, Pi’erre really changed the production soundscape of the genre. & to me, not in a good way

its crazy cuz pierre himself stopped making those kinda beats a while ago and his bass is probably better than most of the people we hear from rn
this makes me sad. uzi fans are so annoying and stuck in the past let this man evolve. got him chasing some s*** thats not him anymore
