There was a famous case in the UK, where to defend our Metropolitan Police in london, the main outlets carried a picture of Mark Duggan at his daughter's memorial, cropped out of context to make him look aggressive:

of course. i feel like the media knows there's so much information out there and most people have busy days, so if they can demonise people on a surface level in their favour, then it can have real cutthrough. A few years ago they were obsessed with how Ed Milliband ate a bacon sandwich. So they must, imo rightly, think those visuals really cutthrough when you only see the news for 5 mins after a busy day.
just look at the past few days. i'm angry at what wiley's said but let's not act like some of the people bashing him the most, don't have a history of racism. I feel like they hate how strong black british culture has become and are being very passive aggressive in this situation, rather than re-educating anyone. Meanwhile his tweets have just gone further, helping cause more tensions. Nothing in this reaction has helped anyone and everyone is just using it for their agendas, as usual.
