Literally sounds like an emotionless rehash of XO. Not a horrible track, but definitely not a classic.

Completely agree tbh. Mixing is a lot better in conventional terms but the original pain in Uzi's voice and the s*** mixing made it a 10/10 track

sounds 10x as emotional

Literally has no emotion. "I don't really care cause I'm doneeeee" don't even hold the same weight as the original hook.

It's a metaphor to his career. His career and life changed when XO Tour blew up and he had to change how he moved and became more closely managed by the label. Him saying "I don't really care cause I'm done" is him disregarding his role as a superstar and reverting to his 2016 ways of just making music for fun/love of the craft, which is represented by the Deluxe, which begins after P2 on the tracklist
I said this in the album thread, but I'll say it again. The original came out during my final semester in college, and my life was significantly different. Now things are a lot better for me, so the nostalgic tone of this song makes me think back to 2017 and go "damn".

Okay look man, I didn't say it didn't have deep meaning to Uzi or in general. I just said it sounds like an emotionless nostalgia grab.

I thought so too at first but after listening a lot I think the song does enough sonically and lyrically to differentiate itself from the original, just my two cents though.
Not a hot take but this is so lazy and I don’t even think Uzi wanted to do it but only did to appease the mainstream fans (since they never shut tf up about XO).
Money make me numb noooooooooow
is this confirmed or are you just going by the fact that that's the current trend?
