yea as i said this really not fully hitting for me so far, i will keep listening though still letting it marinate
however here are some of my initial thoughts:
most of the rage-influenced songs from the beginning of the album didnāt really resonate with me honestly, feel like those could grow on me with time though
from the first 10 songs he went like 6/10 at most for me and i feel like im still being quite generous too
that song with travis was really disappointing unfortunately and i actually really loved the snippet too (not even a case of snippet syndrome just idk what happened with that song)
anyways intro is cool, suicide doors is nuts i wish carti was featured he would eat that beat as well, x2 and i gotta my favourites from the first 10 songs i feel (and i do quite enjoy spin again and crush em feel like these gonna grow on me but still not entirely sure about these)
i surprisingly didnāt really enjoy uziās take on rage-influenced sound as much as i thought i would honestly
also everytime uzi does that throat screech or whatever i should call that thing he does with his voice its pretty satisfying and it goes kinda hard but also makes me quite uncomfortable at the same time lol
since track 10 it got really better imo, especially that run from i gotta til all alone is great, thats when uziās at his best honestly - and dont get me wrong, im actually really pleased that the album wasnāt full of songs like these and that he experimented with it and got really creative even though some of these songs dont really hit for me
im definitely not an annyoing i want the old uzi back fan and im really glad and appreciate that he actually made something quite unique which feels like a great represantion of uzi as of late (at least it seems to me that he made an album that he really wanted)
the run from nakamura to werewolf is another really nice and oddly interesting one - im a fan of chop suey, one of the highlights on there for me, not that sure about werewolf and nakamura but theyāre growing on me
anyways, the sequencing really felt quite weird from werewolf to pluto2mars to seroquel but regardless, pluto to mars was well worth the wait and sounds amazing
days come and go is arguably my favourite on there, rehab is really amazing as well and i honestly quite enjoyed the end
good to see of course and zoom deservedly released on streaming, they still some of the highlights on there honestly - on the other hand shardai is just purely mediocre and couldāve stayed in the vault, hard to forgive uzi for not dropping for example movie instead thats just ridiculous
actually in the end im quite disappointed that there wasnāt any other jersey track as many of us probably expected, i did expect and truly wanted at least one - really happy about the amount of rock/numetal tracks but i feel like he couldāve included some more jersey (e.g. dummy man) instead of some of the rage songs towards the beginning
all in all, as i said im really glad that uzi released something more left-field and experimental than usual even if i donāt enjoy it as much (at least for now) - really feels like an album that he truly wanted the world to hear and i appreciate it way more than if he dropped an āold uziā effort
i will always hold creativity in high regards even if i feel like some of the songs werenāt meant for me (those surprisingly werenāt the rock ones actually) and even if i dont end up liking it in the end (which may or may not be the case - obviously i cant properly judge this just off few listens on the release day)
deservedly bottompaged tbh this post is disgustingly long i will never do that again i swear
Idk I did not read all 345 pages š¬
me neither but I think people f*** with it from what Iām seeing. no reason to hate on it unless you straight up donāt like that genre
How yall feel about folks saying Uzi makes music catered for people born after 2000?
Obviously, his fanbase is like 16-23/24. Thatās not breaking news Uzi has always been an artist catered towards the youth
@RIP_Actavis how you like it bro?
uzi really a philly weirdo i love it
I wish that Uzi & Mac feat dropped.
Album is a solid 7. A lot could have been cut and it could have been a 9. The middle part is kind of stale. That run from Nakamura to The End is crazy and the best part of the album
I wish that Uzi & Mac feat dropped.
would have been legendary fr
