uzi’s music took a huge L with the absence of cannon and maaly raw production but no one wants to admit it

EA out now
EA out now
if you think EA couldnt have been made 10x better with don cannon and maaly raw production then you are in complete denial

They both have great production but Uzi has made many classics and great tracks with other producers too (FKi, DP, Wheezy, Metro, Pierre, etc.)
I think solely WOD production isnt a good idea for the future of Uzis career but he has plenty of other producers to work with.

but since 2014 those other producers have at least been accompanied by cannon and maaly production, this is the first time since then that there’s been a complete absence, and anyone who isnt a blind stan can see that both EA and vstw2 suffered from a lack of their presence
you can even tell because it’s clear they tried to emulate the cannon x maaly sound on some tracks, but it doesnt come close. Uzi and them are the holy grail combo fr

Ye I dont agree with that. Pierre x Uzi compiled the best songs from VTW2 and have great chemistry together (just as good as Canon and Maaly IMO). Canon also coproducers many of his songs with Uzi with other producers too so its not like he is the sole creative on these beats. Now Uzi missed the opportunity big time by not putting Sticky on EA cause it fits the theme of the album perfect and is a great song (solely Canon produced song).
I think Uzi had kinda of hit the end of the creative runway on Maaly beats (feel like anything left for them to make together would be a rehash of a song they already did). Not having Canon there to help make the album more cohesive is definitely a step down. I think that Uzi x WOD is heavily overrated as Uzi tends to either pick the most or least interesting production from them. But we have had two projects to decide that "not having maaly x canon in the picture is making the music worse" (one of which was supposed to be a collab album with WOD which it basically was, and the other was basically a mixtape of anticipated songs stitched together which you shouldnt expect to be some really well thought through creative effort where he really thought about the tracklist cause he literally took suggestions from the fans).
I say we need to give it some time and at least this new album before we make a decision. EA was clearly rushed out (they cut almost 20 minutes of skits the week before the album release) ad VTW2 was clearly a mixtape for the fans. New album will be a better determiner on if the music is taking a decline or not.

yea EA was mid. ok beats and average rapping
I swear other artists be getting better beats from WOD
first one comes to mind is that KEY! EP last year

Nah WOD 100% had the potential to make some great beats instead of the boop boop beep beep ass beats we got on the album because they decided to hand off the production to their worst producer meanwhile uzi decided to completely through away half of the reason why people like him and winded up sounding like erry other rapper

it’s cuz they gave basically all the album to Brandon Finessin save for a few songs
We expecting this to drop on July 31st right? It's a Friday
Good guess, likelyhood is high

i get what you’re saying. im always for artists moving on and evolving so if he feels he’s not breaking any new ground with the producers he used to run with then so be it
i just always felt like uzi was at the peak of his hook game on their beats which is my fav style of uzi bc he was doing something no other artist could do. now i feel like he’s taken the direction of barring out which is cool but doesnt seperate him as much idk
but you right, it’s too early to tell. The hype surrounding EA was also a near-insurmountable thing so i gotta give props to him for somehow not leaving his fanbase disappointed as a whole
