People aren't really listening. And I say that as someone who feels The Fix/CG2 didn't live up to the hype.

I think Young Money as a whole suffers from Peter Pan Syndrome and probably embodies what Andre is talking about.
Granted, music is music and I care about quality over subject matter. I enjoyed half the songs of CG2 and thought The Fix was trash.
But I do think C5 was a step in the right direction for Wayne. That was a deeply personal album and an evolution of Wayne that still retains his signature style.
Hopefully, C6 will be a continuation of that.
And Nikki is damn near a lost cause at this point. She's about to turn 41 and she's still acting like she's in the streets, rapping about her p****, and starting beefs with younger female rappers.
Drake is in a position where anything he drops will sell regardless of quality. But some fans are starting to question how he'll age gracefully in music too. There was even a thread on his own subreddit about that.
Overall, though, quality matters above all. If you're still rapping about the streets, sex, or "ignant" s*** at 40+, at the very least you should make great sounding music or rap well while doing it.
