Jim Morrison
Chuck Berry
David Bowie
Prince
Kanye West
Bob Dylan
Brian Eno
Nina Simone
All existed
obviously talking rap, but Kanye is above everything
but if thug influenced more artists? And more profoundly in a shorter period of time?
Soundcloud artists with 20 followers dont count
Wayne literally created a whole platfrom
He’s definitely the most influential but lol @ people saying he’s GOAT especially when his discog isn’t the best

Chuck Berry

Brian Eno
Nina Simone

didn’t realize any of them were rappers
kanye is a producer who raps, but he’s nothing special as a rapper. all his vocal styles are derivative of other rappers, his lyrics are mostly meh (i love your titties bc they prove i can focus on two things at once :cringe: ) and he doesn’t even write most of his own lyrics in the first place

He probably hadn’t written One hard verse all on his own lol

i mean, i don’t doubt he’s written some verses himself, but the majority of his lyrics are not his own (see: every leaked kanye demo is basically just him mumbling until someone else puts words to it, then the final product is him using the words other people rapped to his mumbling)

1. Op just said artists OAT he never said rappers
2. Kanye is a better producer, artist, and songwriter than wayne. He transcends hip hop
3. Kanye writes most of his lyrics idk where youre getting that he doesnt

No More Parties in LA out now
Influential artist OAT
A whole generation of kids tattooing their faces, sippin lean smokin pounds of weed, auto tuning everything, wearing diamond teeth and dreadlocks
Doubt he cares but his legacy definitely lives on through them
Thanks Wayne
All this sounds like the degradation of society.
All this sounds like the degradation of society.
Hmmm somehow only one domestic of society seems to exhibit this particular pattern of behavior
wayne:
2nd most influential
best rapper
6.5/10 discog
GOAT
Not best rapper
Or even close
6/10 discog
NOPE
there literally wouldn't be thug without wayne, can people stop d***riding thug it's actually insane
don't agree with that guy but I feel like you can be more influential that someone you're influenced by so I hate this argument

Nope, it leads all back to Wayne influence
but if thug influenced more artists? And more profoundly in a shorter period of time?
Thug didn't influence more artists, have you literally just started listening to rap?
He's the greatest rapper on the mic ever from just pure rapping ability
Hov, Kendrick, 3 Stacks
There’s a good arguement to be made.
I always wonder why There aren’t hella Drake clones running Around (since he is the biggest artist of the 10’s) yet there’s a whole lotta future/thug/lil Wayne’s out there.
Drake stimulus was a real real thing, and maybe still is to a degree
Drake just makes good music. His image isn’t something intriguing enough to emulate
