honestly this was fine
itâs no C2 or C3, but itâs solid. think itâs the same thing as usual. people just get stuck in an echo camber and like the memes without even listening to the music itself because itâs the âcurrent topicâ and they feel the need join in and have an opinion on it
even the elephant song was fun; who else could rap on a beat that stupid and still spazz?
mixing was trash though, ngl
edit: except "Island Holiday" - that's the worst song i've heard in a minute
the crazy part is that Island Holiday is one of the songs I really gravitated to on first listen
Itâs not the beats, because if a rapper with a more âartsyâ or âexperimentalâ image had the same beats it would be received different.
Wayne is âout of touchâ because the world is too serious for him now. And pretentious fans who were raised on Kendrickâs skit heavy âimportant statementâ albums just donât respect or connect with Wayne. (outside paying lip service to his influence)
he's out of touch because he doesn't know what the landscape of rap is.
Or even the current state of culture enough to at the very least apologize or walk back some out of pocket s***.

The âlack of directionâ comment makes complete sense if you just compare this album to the previous entry in the series.
C5 is a focused album that sounds like it was made intentionally.
C6 sounds like 19 random ass songs thrown together
I disagree there is an album structure:
Starts with him introducing the album and welcoming us to it (king carter, welcome to the carter)
Then we go straight into his hard rapping songs like he does on all his albums (bells to Flex Up)
We then enter his rock part of the album (island holiday to If I played guitar)
We then go back to him rapping hard (Peanuts to Mula Komin in)
And then we finish with his outro where he tells us heâs the greatest of all time.
This is exactly what weâre saying in here.
He played one second and threw his headphones off because he knows it would generate views.
Theres no willingness to actually listen to the song and decide there.
He did the exact same for Maria and most people agree both those verses are fantastic
Wayne had a great run.
Tha Block Is Hot (1999) up until C4 (2011) he was a major force.
Iâve literally been down since Tha Block Is Hot.
His mixtape run is goated. Iâll forever have memories of TDIO2 and DD3 when I was in college. Smoking in my dorm room out the window to âKushâ lol.
C3 first listen was a life memory.
damn unc
Every Carter project has sold over 100k FW. This album is garbage but Wayneâs longevity is impressive.
shawn cee reactions in big 25 is crazy
Aight had a few more listensâŚ
This album is unfortunately pretty bad. Itâs a few dope tracks but the rest is mid to just ridiculous. Guarantee this nigga got so many other, much better unreleased tracks he could have put on here but instead we get this mess of a track list. I read something on Twitter that if this was called IANAHB3 it wouldnât get hated as much and tbh itâs pry true, I also wouldnât be so disappointed. THIS THA CARTER NIGGA
I think most of the hate is justified bc we all know Wayne is better than this, but also I think some of it is just part of trolling and/or having their minds made up before even listening.
Point has been made before but a lot of this album would benefit A LOT from better production bc Weezy still be flowing a lot on most of this s***, even with some goofy ass punchlines. That doesnât surprise me with Wayne in 2025.
All in all, Wayne haters def getting their jokes off and even us realistic Wayne stans/fans can appreciate some of the jokes.
Mfs hated on bird man for keeping carter 5 hostage but I think he was protecting Wayne from dropping some garbage. Wayne really needs to walk away
Barter 6 proves this album isnt canon itâs an alternate universe thing why you think lin manuel is on this. Itâs probably for an apple tv show
This makes "I Am Not A Human Being 2" look like "Illmatic".
Yeah, this album is bad. There's no need for me to give my full thoughts on it because then it would just be a waste of time. The album flat out sucks. I do agree with the people who said this album would be better received if it was called "I Am Not a Human Being 3". That part is true.
What I will say is, Mannie Fresh NEEDS to fully produce Lil Wayne's next album. "Bein Myself" is classic Lil Wayne. That song and the production is really damn good. By far my favorite track on the album.
Peanuts & Elephant should had featured Eminem. Make it as legendary as the encore stinkers
Wouldâve been a Hall of Fame song right there
This album is easily better than c5. C5 reception was like the inverse of this album, an echo chamber of positivity instead of negativity. I understand people who aren't Wayne fans being scared of the guitar and singing on the album, but for Wayne stans to be upset about Island Holiday and especially If I Played Guitar is surprising to me. The voice and flows on this album are way better than C5, C5 just had better features (more so in the sense that people were excited to hear the futures, the names didn't have negative sentiment already attached to them, not necessarily speaking on the actual performance of the features), and did a better job of building an aesthetic. Maybe that made it more cohesive but that was due more to ancillary additions then it was the actual music.
The aesthetic was helped mostly due to the goodwill Wayne had built up from his label situation and mental health talks (the Solange feature, a great feature, but reception to this never made sense, was far from the first time Wayne had talked about shooting himself). Adding his mom and having a couple explicitly "deep" songs really helped spell it out for people.

Mannie need his 10s for the beats for Being Myself, Mahogany, and Piano Trap.

Let It All Work Out clears this entire album alone

Hell no C5 >>
