The original beats are more instrumental. These are just hard trap beats.
Im saying when you rate the production do u rank the slower beats higher than trap beats.

I mean, I'm always going to rate beats that are more musically produced over trap beats. So I guess I do rank the slower beats over the trap beats.
Not taking anything away from the trap beats tho. They serve a purpose.

Okay then a lot of your criticism makes sense. Did you like the welcome to collegrove beats I linked?
Also is it safe to assume you liked the beats/songs on scary hours deluxe more than main album?

I actually liked those beats from CG2. I think the problem (aside from production) is that I don't like Wayne's flow/delivery anymore. Yeah, he's still putting words together, but it's coming across as rambling. And this is coming from someone who LOVED CG1.
As far as the scary hours deluxe, Drake was flowing on them. However, I don't revisit those songs as much as FATD songs. When FATD dropped, I didn't like it at all. But the more I listened, I realized that this is probably Drake's most progressive work from a production standpoint. All of the beats sound very modern and polished. Scary Hours deluxe is good for a winter time night time drive, but I don't find myself going back to those songs a lot.

Okay so yea we on the same page with beats lol. But hopefully we see more of those mixed in to C6. Those beats have a more "mature" sound to them and you don't really need hooks on those beats lmao.
CG1 was good and it felt way more like a collab album to me besides the solo 2 chainz songs then W2C. W2C actually felt more like a 2 chainz album with wayne features tbh.
@itsonlyme
This is the exact flow that I wish Wayne still used

Tbh if you keep comparing his new music to his prime you will never be content.
We just need him to focus on aspects he does well now on and make more songs like that and also more collaborations in studio.

It's hard not to compare his current work to his prime because we've seen what he's capable of.
I really wish he would've signed with Jay back in 2005. His career would've turned out way different. He woud've been a more mature artist instead of this Rastafarian/skateboard/stoner/rockstar hybrid we have to deal with now.

Idk I think Jayz wouldve hindered him because jayz wouldve seen him as competition. Also that would change so much in rap imo. Autotune use, Drake, Nicki etc. Everything would be so different for whole genre imo.

Naw, signing with Jay-Z would've been a bad move for Wayne back then. Jay-Z was viewed as someone who did not want another rapper to be bigger than him. DMX talked about it when he was alive, LL Cool J talked about it as well. They both said that Jay-Z was a hater during that time when he was the president of Def Jam.
Wayne was better off staying where he was with Birdman and Cash Money.

@A_E_M_7 Part of that is true, but I think Wayne would've still risen to the top just like Ye did.

I agree Jay-Z would’ve sabotaged Wayne’s career as well by doing something shady
Talkin' 'bout baby money, I got your baby money
Kidnap your b****, Get that 'how much you love your lady?' money

This is true but would’ve been wild if Wayne & Lupe did sign
Imagine
Wayne
Lupe
Kanye
Jay
All on the same label
Whatever happened to this lol?
2025 or 2026 Release Date seem possible but he will drop new album/Mixtape this year even though his music is not charting like it used too

He’ll drop 6.6.26

We don’t know Wayne is going to do since he scrapped that WVW album
