If we get Vultures 2 before C6, I'm going to give Wayne a personal phone call lol.
How was the call?
His delivery and beat selection on C5 was very meh tho
Only reason ppl don't put funeral over c5 is because c5 has the Carter name on it

C5 wins off having Open Letter and LIAWO.

I dont remember what C5 sounds like but Funeral was mid and the deluxe made the album even worse somehow
Mama Mia is a top tier track tho

Funeral had some low points. Carter 5 might be perfect aside from the travis song

Starts out with a terrible and forced use of xxxtentacion that has wayne hilariously saying "rest in peace to triple extension" at the end as he clearly didn't even know who he was
Only highlight was Mona Lisa. Rapping on funeral was far harder overall. C5 felt beyond mailed in
How was the call?
He told me he's trying to get a collab with Beyonce called "Cowboy Carters" and clear some samples.
Glad people are finally on board with this
Indeed, they called me a lunatic when I said this back when Carter 5 was recent lol

Man I've had to fight with people everytime there's a "rank the carters" thread
Only reason ppl don't put funeral over c5 is because c5 has the Carter name on it
Exactly
Funeral was way more enjoyable.
C5 felt like a chore to get through
i almost don’t even want this
worried he’s gonna drop something bad and tarnish the Carters like he did with No Ceilings 2

Wow really?
If the album was full of mahogany and harden I’d be with you.
He’s def rapping sharper but over all songs-wise, funeral is really forgettable to me. I don’t even remember the outro.
duh
CV was disappointing as s***
For the longest time ppl here swore this take was heresy lol

people think introspection and substance inherently makes music better when it doesn’t that’s why
C5 had some cool moments but it was definitely lackadaisical as an entire package, probably my least played Carter, there’s nothing on it that makes me wanna come back to it
Dope New Gospel, Mess, Demon and a handful of others were good but it wasn’t enough just as an entire body of work

Perfectly sums up my thoughts
Carter V is good album but i feel like he should’ve made it 14-16 tracks. Funeral was better even though it sounded like mixtape
