Do y’all think if he was still signed to cash money & Birdman had some sort of quality control on this it wouldnt have turned out so badly?
This would be much better he still had a level of quality control with Birdman
100%, I believe Birdman was one of the few people who had the guts to tell what sounds good and what doesn't. I can't imagine Gudda Gudda walking up to Wayne and telling that yo that s*** was ass.
Wayne is in a position of a dictator lmao. Your inncer circle won't tell you how s*** really be but instead they do anything to keep their position.
People thought Birdman was holding c5 hostage.
Another awful project from Lil Wayne, what a shocker
D6 & Funeral were nowhere near this bad tbh. This tape has 0 standouts.

D6 was crazy
About to peep while working. I’m not going to be overly critical because this isnt the main dish. It’s just scraps to hold us over until it’s time to eat dinner.
If this the starter we bout to die nigga

Plus after the birdman split I'm assuming he no longer has access to the cash money studios or the cash money engineers so now we have to deal with the iphone mic vocals and awful mixing we've been getting since tha carter V. Sad
Oh, y’all really b talking s*** b4 even listening
Wayne is flowing foh.
Y’all the type to not listen to s*** in chronological order, that’s the issue

CV had some gems, - Open Letter, Mona Lisa & Let It All Work Out are top tier weezy
We gotta start having honest conversations about Lil Wayne and his music.
Ktt2 will never be honest and objective when it comes to Wayne.
I've been down with Wayne since 99 so I am credible when it comes to speaking on him
His music simply isn't that good anymore.
Whether its delivery or production, it's just not hitting the same.
Yes - He's good for a good feature, but for the most part, an entire Wayne project ain't it since Dedication 6 - and even that was an anomaly since it was actually good.
KTT gasses up C5 only because of the "subject matter". His delivery was off and the production was weak.
I want C6 to be good, but at this point, I'll be happy with a few songs.
And if you think about it, the last real CARTER album was C2.
C1 and C2 both had the intros, interludes and outros and followed somewhat of a theme.
C3 (while a goat album) was just a collection of good commercial songs.
C4 (underrated) brought back the intros, interludes, and outro, but Wayne wasn't even on them and it was a step down from C3
C5...meh

I'll give you that
So that's like 3-5 songs out of like 25?

But Bird was around when Wayne went from C3 to dropping s*** like rebirth , ianahbii - so does he really have a say when it comes to what Wayne drops?
