Yes in 2004-2005 it came out in the rawer more rap heavy C1 and C2

by 2007 he was a mainstream rapper and C3 is the showcase of what a mixtape rapper with all the budget in the world sounds like

C4 was more of the same and sounds so bombastic, that was his vibe at the time, bigger than life, back from jail, keep killing it
(obv not like before but the album sounds huge)

C5 came after a dark time and reflected a more personal side and story even in the sequencing and theme (Cita audio all over)
AND STILL sounded like when a rap legend commanding massive resources for his version of a personal mainsteam album

each Carter had a mixtape/feature run leading up to it and C6 ain't no different.
