In case you missed it, Joe alleged on his podcast yesterday that Lil Wayne called Kendrick Lamar after being name-dropped on the track “↪ Wacced Out Murals” from GNX, but Kendrick didn’t answer. He also claimed Wayne then headed into the booth to record a diss track aimed at K Dot.
The hosts on the podcast even threw in some nonsense about Eminem dissing Weezy on his “↪ No Love” verse, which is equally laughable.
Here’s what Budden said (as I won’t be posting the clip):
“I’m hearing that somebody picked up the phone, tried to call and see what the energy was. I’m hearing that Kendrick didn’t answer. If I’m calling you rapper to rapper and you don’t answer… now I’m going in the booth. You have until I get in that booth to hit me back. I’m hearing that Wayne went in the booth.”
Tunechi‘s longtime engineer and current manager, Fabian Marasciullo, wasn’t having any of it. Furthermore, he took to his Instagram Story to respond with a single emoji: the “Cap” emoji (see below). Enough said!
ghoulish pt 2 would go so hard tho

Beef is best served like steak
I haven’t seen that episode but when reading the quote I think people are taking it a bit too literally sounds like he was leaning ona bit of hyperbole still once he mentioned how he would love “rapper to rapper”.
Idk also I doubt Kendrick wouldn’t have got back to Wayne if he did reach out
Wayne probably recorded something and his team convinced him not to release it
they smart

The first one didn’t go hard at all so why would pt2? Lol I’m living in a bizarro reality I don’t remember anyone actually liking that song when it dropped. Even Wayne fans was like “he not a battle rapper”
It’s not enough

You’re not tripping
It was universally panned
I vividly remember hardcore Wayne stans doing the Kanye stan thing where they go “actually it doesn’t really matter that this sucks, he has so many classic albums”
