Lilo and Stitch is one of my all time favorite Disney movies and honestly, this wasn’t half bad! They captured a good amount of charm from the original, however, they left quite a bit of iconic parts on the cutting room floor (Pleakley in drag; Nani being Thiccc; Jumba not having an accent). Overall, still a good time in the theaters and a nice family movie for the summer! Nothing is touching the original though.
7/10
@MickeyMouse 🗣️YO!
Ignore these annoying millennials on Twitter. They're no different from those corny right-wingers. Just with different motives. The ending is actually better and more grounded. It just makes more sense.
Nani is literally a 19 year old. Was she supposed to stay forever in those low-wage jobs, mostly centered around catering to tourists, to support herself and her sister? She went to college to pursue her dream career and rebuild her family, while her neighbor and David take care of Lilo. And Nani visits her every night through the portal. How is this a bad thing?
How are people surprised this is garbage?

Yal look crazy losing your s*** over some lilo and stitch
good lord lmfao
Idk why they keep making these, the odds are not in your favor immediately once you decide to live remake classics
The purest won’t ever be happy & the odds of catching the same charm of the originals is slim
very lame copout when disney managed to make a cgi racoon and tree two beloved fan favourites
dc made king shark work in live action too

I hate it too, but when you check out the box office totals compared to the budgets it becomes obvious why — almost all of them make a profit, and sometimes a HUGE profit. So it’s a low risk, high reward strategy in an industry that hates risk

This just a BS excuse to save him for the sequel lol
Also the budget was low so that’s probably why

Low? This is something they should have given the Snow White budget to

Most of the recent live action Disney movies have been 200 million+
This was 100. And you could definitely tell this was a more “budget” live action with the CGI

It’s a movie about aliens. Why would I care that Nani’s decision in this is more “grounded in reality”? Out of all things going on in this movie?
Ohana means family. You don’t leave family behind.

Same thing happened here with the Mario movie
