if hybrid theory came out today do you think it would still be popular? had a shower thought as I was listening to Collision Course

Reanimation is supremely underrated...I get that some people just love the original versions of those songs and anything else just isn't going to satisfy them but I love the hip-hop spin on tracks they did for Reanimation and wish they did it for more of their albums after...Black Thought, Evidence, Planet Asia, Alchemist, Chali 2na, Pharoahe Monch, Aceyalone all dropping verses...I love Hybrid Theory but Reanimation was also my s*** around that time...album cover is hard too

I bought the vinyl years later too for mad cheap...really wish Shinoda had done more hip-hop s*** back then...the band steered more and more away from that stuff as they went on and kind of lost me as a fan

I remember stealing their Reanimation CD from my friends older brother back in the day, LPU for life!

My Dad actually had bought Hybrid Theory when it came out and I remember snaggin that s*** and that’s what ultimately put me on to LP. But, Reanimation…. Reanimation was the first album that I actually went out and bought on my own as a kid. It was my boy’s bday too so I grabbed a couple copies for us. Vividly remember having like a small listening party for it back then too. We were so hyped

Linkin-Park is over-rated, i'm not saying they aren't good, but in the public they're overrated, by critics they're fairly rated or a little underrated i'd say

definitely one of my first lol I have a hard time remembering the very first cd I bought...I do remember the first parental advisory CD I bought was the 8 Mile Soundtrack

Wheres reanimation?

LP celebrating the 20th anniversary of Meteora this year with a bundle similar to Hybrid Theory’s in 2020.
New unreleased songs and demos included. There was a leak by WB but it was removed. However the official LP website is teasing too.

For the unreleased music, the Lost Demos portion is all unheard before music with demos of songs that made it Meteora and songs that were cut from the project. Here is the tracklist.

hype for the new/unreleased tracks

For sure. I find it crazy we’ve heard unreleased demos/music from all eras except for Meteora. This’ll be the first time we hear an unreleased new song with vocals.

The LPLive.net website says “Lost” will be the promotional single in the same way “She Couldn’t” was for HT20. It is believed to be this snippet.

I prefer Meteora. The sound is more polished imo.

not going to argue that...it goes HT, Meteora, then Reanimation for me...wish they had done a similar Reanimation type project for Meteora tbh would have been cool to hear hip-hop remixes to those joints as well

I think someone on the LPLive site confirmed it was the same. Though we unfortunately won’t hear the Wizard Song as a song apparently. Chester said it doesn’t exist, so I assume it was just some fun they were having but weren’t actually recording the vocals.
