Bruh not even he transcribing a book
Lin's dope (peep some of his writing for In The Heights if the Hamilton/cartoon stuff is too conceptual for you) but his strength is mainly in the storytelling/concepts of his songs...not sure he could pull off releasing a straight up hip-hop album that isn't associated with theatre...he can definitely freestyle though as evident by that Freestyle Love Supreme s*** he was apart of (pretty cool documentary about them on Hulu)...yeah he can be corny af and sounds like Mickey Mouse when he raps but he doesn't warrant the hate some ppl seem to have for dude

Bro listen to surface pressure then evaluate what you just said, Big Daddy Kane can’t f*** with the multi syllable rhyme and references… its a god damn titanic bar in there the smoothest s*** i ever heard “ship doesn’t swerve as it heard how big the iceberg is”
If you add up In The Heights, Hamilton, and Encanto (plus his other work) then you have to applaud the pockets he finds and vocal layering. It's pretty unmatched.
Age wise, He's the same generation as Wayne, West, T.I., and I'd put his skillset up there with them.
He's a lyricist.
I’d like to see LMM vs TI in lyricism

lmao I was defending Lin damn it!
just saying it'd be difficult for him to pull off a straight up hip hop album probably that isn't based around some overall story or theme...I'm very familiar with his writing skills just don't think ppl wanna hear his voice for 12-16 tracks spittin about real life s*** lol
maybe if your fave rapper is like lil d***y
I remember when Lin was the corny dude that couldn't even get cast on tv shows
Hippity hoppity tippity toppity
I feel like that’s the kinda bars he writes but I have no idea
um
