Shows no tech company avoids that stage of pure insanity to operate
and the foundation was just about reviewing and testing products
can I get a tldr? I don't care enough to watch a 45 minute video
i didn't watch the vid either but i've been reading about it and this what i've gathered
during a ltt labs tour a guy who works there made a comment about how their data is better than places like gamers nexus
gamers nexus then makes a video where they show the errors in ltt labs testing and the mistakes they continually make. this is attributed to the insane amount of videos lmg makes across all their channels and thus not having the time to spare to properly test and retest things
one of the tests that was pointed as being illegitimate was one done on a copper cooling block sent to ltt by a small company. ltt didn't install it on the graphics card it was designed for and then basically trashed the product and refused to retest it with the correct card when it would've only cost $500 to do so
ltt kept the prototype cooling block and auctioned it off when the company only sent it for review and expected their prototype to be returned to them. then there's some miscommunication between ltt and the company regarding paying for the block and/or trying to get it back from the auction winner
then a former female employee made a very long twitter thread exposing how ltt was a revenge of the nerds coded work environment filled with all different types of harassment and abuse. she was basically told to just ignore it by linus and hr and ended up self harming to get away from work for a while
finally, ltt's apology video is monetized. had some "joke" ads for their store and new products, some sexual jokes and linus playing the victim
im prob reading into stuff too much, but yeah, linus has always just seemed like an arrogant a****** off camera. like he doesn’t even look at his employees when they talk to him half the time and treats conversations with them like a chore. he’s just very dry and standoffish
Literally zero reasons to care about any of this, especially for the "victims" crying for validation online
I’ve just caught up to what’s going on here. What I’m confused about is where did this harassment/hostile workplace accusation come from? Was this rumoured before Linus got exposed?

Yeah I read through her thread. I was just curious if this is the first time it’s ever been brought up? I don’t follow the online tech space so not sure if Linus had these complaints before
most tech reviewers sold out a while ago unfortunately. tough to know what’s paid for and what’s honest

Kinda facts. I mean, he seems like a friendly guy, but I definitely get those nerdy "holier than thou" vibes from him.
Like the type of dudes who patronize you when you ask them a tech question they perceive as simple.
Can't not see the thumbnail as this
Linus staring into the soul of his coworkers to determine if they should get time off
Man should rename his channel to only Linus, his tech knowledge is geeksquad level.

Been telling people this for years man
