Haven’t watched yet but have seen my brother watching it
Looks hard
enjoying it so far
if you like it now you'll love the rest
gonna seriously take off at the end of this season & around the beginning of the next
imo what'll be in the next season is so good i could see them making it a separate movie

damn kinda hyped now that u said that
do you read manga for everything @Kaiser
like i get that it has its benefits (being ahead of the story vs the anime, no filler, sometimes better art than the anime) but idk i just prefer s*** to be animated

like i can't get good animation like this on manga
@Abolishdamonarchy6 were you on ktt 1?

not for everything! JJK is a newer work though so i read the first chapter when it dropped in 2018. for people new to the series i'd tell em to wait and follow the anime cause MAPPA is doing a good job
but it depends on the title. i take the anime/manga as separate works.
there are projects that actually get manga after the anime (like dragon ball super or evangelion) so it's not just about story for me.
i love reading manga because it has its own 'flow'. you can't get animation like that gif, but manga artists do stuff that feeds your imagination all the same. they employ techniques with paneling, spacing, shading, or even sound fx, and that's before you get to the art itself.
once you get a feel for the grammar of manga you can see all the fireworks going off and it's fun to follow
when everything clicks it's like your brain is creating the movement rather than like w/anime where you engage with what is already moving.
neither is inherently better than the other, but i enjoy the mental friction that manga gives me.
this is interesting action paneling/composition from works i believe you'd like that're impossible to duplicate in anime

there's also a lot more unanimated manga too
some of the martial arts ones
