It does travel through air and droplets, for sure. Aerosol and droplets are two different things. If someone sneezes directly on you outside, there’s a good chance that you will get infected. But if someone sneezes on a direction away from you then the chance of getting infected is minimal. That same sneeze indoors though could get you infected because you’re sharing the same air a lot more. You see the difference?
