so wouldn't it be easier to do 2nd since it was obvious that he was trying to kill him, but also didn't wake up that morning with the intent of killing the exact person named George Floyd either?

No, 3rd should be an easy conviction. 2nd you have to prove that he sat there with his knee on his neck with a crowd of people watching and decided to intentionally kill him. Lot harder to convince a jury of that beyond a shadow of a doubt considering he just maintained his position over 9 minutes, he didn’t whip out his gun and shoot him or something like that.

    Why did they upgrade it?

Idk much difference between 2nd and 3rd

As a result of the backlash I guess. 2nd degree you have to prove to the jury that the cop intentionally decided to murder him.

This 100% This is the most crucial period of necessitating change: in the beginning. It's so damn easy to have the wheels fall off the wagon or veer off into comforting normalcy. This is the time where we need to keep the same energy throughout. We need to keep our knees firmly on the necks of this broken, iniquitous social economy for more than 9 minutes.

The police starting to arrest people in DC because of the curfew. If you not in the big crowds they’ll pick you off and try to detain you.

that it was intentionally should be pretty easy to prove.

given the fact one of the cops told him he had stopped breathing and that they needed to turn him on his side, and he refused....

needs to be a stronger charge to the other 3 though
