Truthfully, you can get your news from almost any of the major news sources and be ok. You can make the bias argument for literally every news source, even the the independent ones. There will also be some bias.

Instead of searching for the perfect news source that doesn’t exist, you should educate yourself and do your own research on journalism ethics and storytelling so you can easily identify bias when you see it.

It would also help to do some more extensive research on black activists, writers, and cultural figures to get a well-rounded understanding of black activism. Truth is, a James Baldwin novel from 60 years ago or a Fred Hampton biography will probably help you better understand what’s happening right now than any news source out there.
