You Americans live in the greatest country in the world
Such a shame that you don’t see it
there's many things about america that make it great and make it so it should be the best country in the world
but right now we are clearly not the best
I definitely don't consider the Civil Rights movement a failure,
Not all of the goals were accomplished perfectly, but too much progress was made to say what u said imo
this country went from slavery to sharecropping to segregation to the civil rights act being passed and then a black president in 2008,
U can't tell me the civil rights failed, on that last point alone, its too strong.
Now is all of this s*** mostly an illusion? yes. The powers that be control a lot of this s*** and feed us messages and what not.
I'm writing 4 too long on this post so ima let it fly
Also on the obama thing, believing in the delusion white people feed themselves can't be the goal. I'm also starting to feel this way about reparations but people will crucify me for that one

I’m gonna cop so much hate for this but just have a skim through
Yeah i mean theres instances of chaos i watched a bit of that video, someone shot a black cop who was 77 protecting their friends store and i think thats wack, but of course with chaos theres going to be stuff like this
I don't think that those situations are representative of the overall situation. Definitely a reckless by-product though
With chaos theres always going to be opportunists,
But I guarantee you, for every one example of what you posted, we can give you three of police abusing their power. in the last week.
I'll tell u one thing I'm tired of seeing pools of blood stream from peoples heads as a result of them being thrown on the ground by the terrorists cops.
(Sorry had to make that one correction for accuracy ^ )
The argument that we shouldn't address police brutality because other people kill each other is like saying not to worry about covid19 because someone died of the flu

man that last video is so f***ed
How many people rioting and looting really give a f*** about George Floyd?
99% of them care about nobody but themselves
People ignored by society who just want to feel special
Man shut the f*** up
thanks man

Nah I mean, theres enough violence out there and s***,
People treating each other with violence alone is a problem.
But its like imagine you get beat (whether its mentally, the psychology of black americans in this country is often very jaded because of the dynamic and fear of the police being able to do anything and everything to them without being held responsible), everyday, and you finally stand up for yourself.
You beat the person thats beating you back because you can't stand it anymore. Are you wrong for fighting back and not taking the beating?
I don't think so. I think people have the right to fight back.
But not every person is gonna get it right. And its unfortunate. That in itself is a side effect of the more major problem which is the police relation to people in this country and the fact that they're almost seemingly treated with immunity, giving leeway to people who want to grab power and use it to abuse people.

This one may not be universal but more between white and black convo specifically but I think its relevant:

Stop making content to prove how much better you are than someone else or how wrong someone else is. It's obviously not the main cause of our problems but it aint helping when you trying to defeat one of the most powerful countries in the world.

Stfu
Like after a thousand posts correcting all lives matter you realize you not getting through to anyone new.
man that last video is so f***ed
if nothing else:
the police are held to such a low standard, because theres this notion of false superiority and patriotism of supporting law and order.
I find the real patriots to be those putting their safety on the line communicating to the police and the government that enough is enough when it comes to this. People willing to take in tear gas and get maced to protest unjust murder.
