3rd degree means you didn't intend to kill the person wtf
It’s a lot safer charge if they want a conviction.
Does being charged with 3rd degree affect how he’ll be sentenced at all?
25 year max, so yea
3rd degree means you didn't intend to kill the person wtf
it’s all about what they can prove in court

It's all a clownshow, watch him be acquitted or plea down to a couple years
Does being charged with 3rd degree affect how he’ll be sentenced at all?
Yeah of course
Totally different burden of proof and lower maximal sentence
Y’all think people should be burning s*** down? Yes or no
yes but only symbols of oppression
God now Twitter is all bashing Kanye cause he’s done nothing and Taylor Swift said something. You’d think in times like this people would stop celeb glorification and focus on the important things but no.

you can get like up to 25 years for 3rd degree but he'd likely serve half as a first offender
with 2nd he coulda gotten up to life
Rich people don’t change anything until it affects their pockets.
yes i would agree but this initiative should have a goal or else it's just hurting the community more than helping. if that goal is to get the other 3 locked up, then that is a good goal
Bruh just let the streets have this piece of s*** (seeing as he's a civilian now) and it would end more peacefully.
I say precincts are a about fair game but rioting and looting triggers tf out of me because it sets us back,

I’m a white man. But I’m heading to a protest at the moment. I’d say my goal is that if s*** like this keeps happening then there will be consequences

Max sentencing from what I'm reading is 25 years. But the real slap in the face is the definition of 3rd Degree Murder. Basically says his intent wasn't to kill George Floyd, it was happenstance.
Schools need to start teaching about him the way they do MLK
I’m 20 and I feel like they barely talked about him
he was discussed briefly in my history class but in a philosophy class i took one of the units was on his speech "Message to Grassroots" and another whose title i can't remember. even beyond just content and topics he spoke on being brought up in history classes, it's 100% worth covering his words in literature classes too, so good

They barely teach you black history and the atrocities committed in America. My grandfather taught me about Black Wall Street.
F*** it, I'm gonna pull a Karen and call the cops myself to report the hit and run
