No it's a diesel, hot wiring only engages the starter, diesel engines use glow plugs to start.

You cannot start a diesel without glow plugs effectively, you'd crank the battery dead because it would take over 5 minutes of non stop cranking or burn out the starter.

its just to test if it works. or you can try your current browser in the 'incognito/private' mode. If it works like that you need to clear your browsers cache & cookies
