but nah to answer seriously i think it’s a bit too early to be having these talks, because pretty much everything depends on whether these 3 i’ve named above extend their contracts or if some of them leave, hopefully not

if vvd or salah left they would definitely need to sign a direct replacement imo, if trent leaves another right back would be needed fs but bradley deserves the starting spot so it wouldn’t need to be someone too big imo

in the ideal scenario where all extend, i would be looking at a future robbo replacement in the summer, love him but i don’t think he can do it on such level for that much longer and i think slot could benefit from having a different type of player there. other than that idk. maybe say goodbye to darwin if it keeps going like this and go for a new striker ? still think this team could use more cover at the CB position though, quansah and gomez are fine but maybe another option with bigger quality wouldn’t hurt

Kerkez for me. Robbo is a legend but isnt good enough anymore. Tsimikas is a good backup, but isnt good enough for starting eleven.

Zubimendi. Think he goes Arsenal with Sociedad's former sporting director going there. But he would give us the control Slot wants in the middle, and we can rest Gravenberch.

Joao Pedro. Jota too injured, and does only care about EAFC. Nunez cant hit a barn door from 2 meters away.

joao pedro is a good shout but i’ll go marmoush. he’s just doing too amazing this season and already did quite well in the last one so i wouldn’t be too scared of him being just a one season wonder by now tbf

one player i got weakness for though and would really love to see in the shirt one day is manu kone, it was rumored back in the day like two years ago but he got injured and his career kinda stagnated ever since…. if zubimendi deal doesn’t go through he could be relatively easy to get on the low from roma i think and he’s a good profile imo

don’t really care too much who it ends up being though, i got full trust in edwards and co. so whoever they decide to bring in gonna be a good and sensible addition i believe, whichever position it is

he is but not really a too conventional one, they usually operate 2 up top with ekitike at frankfurt . darwin often operates from the wing too though so he’s a versatile profile as well and i like that, could rotate with other attackers during the game. think he could be a good fit but yeah he’s not really a big man classic no. 9. him being egyptian makes it an unnecessary story imo.

there’s another name on my mind though that i’d love even more and that’s sesko

gyokeres would be great too ofc but imo he’s united/city/arsenal/barcelona bound and i think the money could be used elsehwere there’s no need to spalsh out like that as of now imo

I don't follow the game as closely as much as I used to. If Salah, Trent, and VVD all leave then we need to replace all three which will be an insane task.
