I got the f*** out. From a young age, I pictured nothing but me leaving. Niggas f*** up by wanting to fit in and make connections. Nah f*** that I left.

Last straw was when I saw my neighbor's nephew shoot and kill our friends over some dumb s*** and he ran away and there was nothing I could do.

Bossed up, got a scholarship, went to college. Never looked back.

My hood in the SF Valley is a dirty s***hole in covered in MS-13 gang graffiti.

The other night, a pyro ran through and set fires on several blocks, including a dumpster in the alley behind my apartment that climbed up the fence and burned some trees. A car port further down the alley was set on fire too and a bunch of cars were decimated.

I've had my car broken into as well, someone threw a brick through the b**** and stole my wallet.

Really hoping to get out of here soon but I can't afford to move the way things are right now.

My dumbass went back to the hood for nostalgia purposes.

I forgot how mentally taxing it is to try to sleep when anyone can break in, at any given moment.
