HBDUSAi mean the main tweet in op has 4.4k likes. it's not like the world came down on lizzo and she lost all her sponsorships lol. people were just saying she shouldn't use the term and that they were disappointed. now she's updating the line. seems like a pretty proportional and quick response to it all.
doesn't seem like any of this was blown out of proportion besides the people mad about "cancel culture"

S*** like this reminds me of when a foundation came to the MLB and asked them to changed the DL, disabled list, to the injured list.
They explained that disabled people could still compete and play in sports, so the name itself wasn’t true and perpetuated this idea that disabled people couldn’t play
The MLB said s*** you’re right, it’s not a big deal, we’ll change it to the Injured List.
The MLB, the oldest league in America known for keeping old tradition and being conservative, is more open to change and progress than users on this site.
