Some slurs are objectively not as bad as others
On top of that, she didn’t even use the word in a targeted way. People took issue with the fact that she used a word that had shared roots with an ableist slur.
So not only is the slur itself not super harmful, the word she used is FAR removed from its ableist origin by this point.
I REALLY think this is being overblown
again i'm not really on social media like that and i kinda think the whole things a little silly but i see their point
it's a pretty minor thing to correct too so i don't see any issue with her fixing it either
