Yeah, I think there’s an argument to be made for deplatforming if you want people or ideas to go away. In fact, I’d argue that in most cases it works.
Unless the person or idea being deplatformed is already quite popular, the stunted growth will usually be fatal, as most of the people who were interested with it will eventually move on when they see a lack of growth and progress toward their end goal.
The only reason Fuentes wasn’t sunk by his deplatforming, by my estimation, is that he was already so big that people who don’t even care about politics and/or aren’t right wing had already heard of him, so his base was already big enough to withstand the lack of growth.

That’s fair, you just have to be careful not to radicalize kids who might like them because they think they’re funny or some s***, but would normally grow out of it eventually.
I still think deplatforming works most of the time, but I think there are some kids who got stuck in a permanent edgy phase because they got too attached to the wrong people

Not sure if you saw this recent interview where Piers Morgan blasts this grifting woman named "JustPearlyThings" (had to look up who she was) but basically it's a female Andrew Tate. When she goes on air she just immediately cowards out and looks like a moron.

These people in general (which I have to admit is a good grift of gaining money) are nothing more than just con-men. The more outlandish way they act, the more controversial stuff they say, and crazy extreme opinions cues in the "FIGHT FOR MUH FREEDOM" crowd or actual racists/fascists that are too cowardly to do it themselves. These people gain money by their niche following.

Not a long range business model though, in a few years they'll be washed up and forgotten. F***ing hell, if I didn't even have a search engine I wouldn't even personally know about Fuentes because I don't even spend much time online anymore (aside from more underground communities like this).
