Crazy the amount of people in here who are quick to judge the root cause as to WHY people are fat.
I can only imagine how many calories a day it takes to sustain such a weight, must be like 6k
For real, it’s like a conscious, all day commitment
people really need to stop normalizing obesity and saying that "being fat is beautiful". that only encourages the problem. im all for positivty and am against body shaming, but there are extreme long term health consequences that come with being overweight and its ridiculous people get offended simply by being told they need to get healthier. and this is coming from someone who was previously very overweight and put the work in to better myself.

Unhealthy habits and compulsions aren't really a conscious decision tho
I'm skinny as f*** but I eat s*** that does damage to me way too much. I'm a big comfort eater. That rush you get when eating is v real and can def be addictive
Also it can often be in combination with depression/anxiety
Ofc i would 100% not switch my body with a fat person
Because i actually care about my health and eat healthy and do healthy things on a daily basis
i wouldnt want to switch bodies with an obese person though
i heard obesity is a factor for erectile dysfunction
Lmao so is p***

Right, my point is that you don’t get 300lbs plus just by straying from your diet and giving in to some comfort food. That takes a whole lifestyle.
At that point you are 100% making a conscious decision at each meal to keep that up.

Yea because habits escalate
You post that like she was a slim woman who decided one day to start eating a ton and got fat. I'm guessing her bad habits started from childhood
This conversation is another distraction. It’s just branding. Amazon and Instagram and a bunch of other corporations love this kind of divisive nonsense. Poor and disabled people are the most oppressed part of the population and when we hyper focus on bad lifestyle decisions which are reinforced by economic forces pushing people into them than we’re not really getting at the root of the problem and instead are worrying about rich people’s feelings and insecurities. You want to reduce obesity and d*** addiction and all sorts of addictions, than the problem starts with the economic system that exasperates them. Yes rich people indulge and fall into addiction as well, but they clearly have more agency over that. Sorry if Elon Musk got fat, I’m not too worried about people making fat jokes about him.

well said /thread
Fat women might be, maybe even obese men, but nobody ever gave me a hard time for being fat
As an adult, pretty much no one does tbh.
It's just the hoes that be acting BRAND NEW.
Fat people aren’t oppressed.
Overweight people as a whole are.
This country has a high schoolers mentality when it comes to being overweight or dealing with overweight people in conversation.
You see the b**** in a lot of people when comes to talking about weight.
Because many people can mask speaking fowl to people as concern for people’s health they win 2 ways. In one hand they can make backhanded snide comments about weight and make themselves feel like they are bettering the world.
You know how you help someone that’s overweight?
Stop shaming them at the pool (workout)
Street (workout) and places where they choose their food (dietary place)
Start normalizing going to the gym as a place of peace instead of a f***ing labor.
drops mic
This is like saying cigarette smokers are oppressed
It kinda is the same thing if you think about it. Good point lmfao
the man in ur avi literally got liposuction
In what way does that make comparing skin color to weight ok?

Smokers would have a better argument tbh
They have actually been affected by government action
