damn thats crazy mustve been eyes wide shut. some shots when tom cruise is "walking" around nyc streets he was just shot on a treadmill in front of a projection screen. wonder if he shot the projection footage

someone earlier said that they didnt interact. i dunno what gets you a second unit director credit and what work he shot or not. kubrick's stuff is single camera and from his reputation im suprised he worked with second unit guys. regardless, an interesting connection to one of ye's heroes.

His stuff is def fine art tho and doesnt have much interest in serving as traditional/pop cinema. some wingding on reddit i saw was griping about it engaging with accessible themes lol

lol most definitely. friend of a friend worked on paul schraders new movie and said he was a total a****** to everyone. they had to shut down production seven days early because of covid and he had a huge temper tantrum

What??? Arthur Jafa is an artist with exhibitions in some of the best museums. It looks amateur on purpose, but it is not amateur at all. I went to the opening of the exhibition in Serralves, Porto before this Kanye thing, in February, and he made everyone cry about his views on the black community. That man puts his heart and his sould into his work. That's why Kanye wanted him to direct this video.
