if anything this proves LONGEVITY of sales = quality
ya first week sales or debuting #1 for a song doesn't immediately = quality because it could just be hype
but when u got albums that are decades old and consumers are choosing to listen to those albums over all the new music coming out on a weekly basis, thats called objective quality. theres nothing you can say to get around this. consumers are actively choosing to click on decade old albums in mass over clicking on the newer music that is shoved in their face on apple/spotify home pages for new releases.
consistency has always been said mor important
fw sales never mattered until the 2010s with general audiences now having easy access to numbers and can use it as a argument point
but, fw sales do usually go hand n hand with eventual consistency tho. although there are some outliers both ways (low fw but good consistency and high fw but poor consistency)
@davey i told ya ass in the verzuz thread gkmc is the biggest rap album with tc in 2nd, them ktt2 and discord memes dont translate to real life just like NLU is the biggest
this says what album charted longer not sold more
